Goals of the Course: 1. To understand the role law and lawyers play in preserving, protecting and promoting the public health of a population. 2. To understand the constitutional limits of the state's power to impose public health regulations on individuals. 3. To understand principles of administrative law and legislation which govern public health regulation. 4. To understand the ethical issues that arise in regulating public health. 5. To understand the intertwining jurisdiction of local, state, Federal and International entities with the power to regulate public health in the United States. 6. To understand the role of the International Community in Public Health
